About Me

Welcome to my little home of Paws, Pets and Places.
Hi, I'm Justine, the artist and founder of Jagos Art, and I'm so glad you're here! I'm a passionate artist working in both traditional and digital mediums, creating artwork that celebrates the beauty of nature, animals and travel.
Jagos Art began in 2019 when I took a leap of faith, leaving my role as a Teaching Assistant to pursue a more flexible career - one that allowed Me to be there for my daughter while following my creative passion. I started by offering pet portrait commissions in watercolour, charcoal and coloured pencil, alongside paintings of wildlife and scenic landscapes. Then just before Covid, I discovered digital painting and developed a style inspired by vintage railway posters, which quickly became a signature part of my work.
Over the years, my business has evolved. In 2023, I spent the year selling my art at my local Pannier Market, an experience that allowed Me to connect directly with customers and gain valuable insight into what people love. While the latter half of the year presented challenges, it also pushed Me to refocus. Now, I'm working from home, fully immersed in creating new art - including a fresh exploration of abstract styles - and once again accepting pet portrait commissions.
Beyond my artwork, I also share my creative journey on YouTube, documenting the ups and downs of running a small business. It's an honest look at the process, and I hope to grow this space into something even more meaningful in the years ahead.
