Woolacombe Art Print

An art print of stunning Woolacombe, a very popular holiday destination with its sandy beach that’s stretches for approximately three miles. The beach has in fact been recognised in previous years, as one of the best beaches in Europe which is a pretty good claim to fame. Being a seaside resort, there are plenty of hotels, b&bs and holiday parks etc making it a great place for families.

During WW2, the US Army Assault Training Centre was based in Woolacombe. The beach resembled that of Omaha Beach and so was perfect for practising for the invasion of Normandy.

As you approach Woolacombe beach from either direction, you are met with lovely views. This art print features the view you are met with approaching Woolacombe from the nearby village of Mortehoe, a quaint village which traces its origins back to the Domesday Book.
