To create a beautiful and lifelike portrait of your pet, I will need a selection of high-quality photosgraphs. Together, we can choose the best reference image - one that captures important details like eye colour, fur texture and overall expression.
For Me, the most important part of any pet portrait is the eyes. They bring the artwork to life, revealing your pet's unique personality and spirit. I take great care in capturing this essence to ensure your portrait is as special as your pet.
Natural lighting is ideal for photos, so if you are going to take new pictures, try to do so in soft, natural light - avoiding harsh direct sunlight. The most important thing is that the eyes are well lit, in focus, and clearly visible. While I typically work from one main reference photo, having additional images can be very helpful for accuracy.
If your pet is sadly, no longer with us, please don't worry - I will do my very best to work with whatever photo you have. Feel free to reach out, and we can discuss the possibilities together.
This is an example of an ideal reference photo. The dog's eyes are clear and in focus, ensuring that every detail can be accurately captured. The natural lighting avoids excessive sun interference, preserving the true-to-life colour. While there is some shadowing, it does not obscure any key features of the dog's face, making this, alongside additional photos, a perfect main reference for a high quality portrait.

Graphite Pencil Pet Portrait Pricing and Sizes
My graphite pencil portraits offer an alternative to coloured pencil, capturing your pet's unique character in black and white. While they are a more affordable option, each portrait is created with the same level of care, attention to detail and high-quality materials to ensure a lifelike and lasting piece of art.
- A4 (8.3"x11.7") - £90 (Perfect for single pet portraits with fine details)
- A3 (11.7"x16.5") - £175 (Ideal for larger pet portraits or multiple pets)

Acrylic Pet Portrait Pricing and Sizes
My acrylic pet portraits are painted on high quality canvas and are available in a range of sizes to suit different preferences and display spaces.

- 16" x 20" - £250 (Best for a bold, eye catching portrait)

Affordable Payment Plan
I understand that a custome pet portrait is a special investment, and with the current cost of living challenges, I want to make my artwork as accessible as possible. Because of this, I currently offer flexible payment plans to help spread the cost.
Each portrait is a highly detailed, hand-drawn or hand-painted piece, taking between 16-30 hours to complete. I use professional grade materials to ensure the highest quality and longevity of your artwork. My pricing reflects the time, skill and dedication that goes into capturing your pet's unique personality.

What Happens Next?
Commissioning a custom pet portrait is an exciting and personal experience. Here's how it works:
1️⃣ Submit an Enquiry
Having read through the commission process, hopefully you now feel ready to take the next step. If so, simply fill out the Pet Portrait Enquiry Form below. This helps me understand your preferences, including the size, medium, and any special details you'd like to include.
2️⃣ Let's Discuss Your Portrait
Once I receive your enquiry, I'll reach out to go over the details, answer any questions, and ensure we have the perfect plan for your portrait.
3️⃣ Secure Your Booking
When you're happy with everything, simply select the 'custom pet portrait' listing from my shop whereby you'll be able to make your selections and place your order. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required initially, full payment will be requested once your pet portrait is complete.
4️⃣ Creating Your Portrait
Once I begin working on your piece, I’ll send you progress updates unless you prefer to wait for the final reveal. I take great pride in ensuring a true likeness of your beloved pet is achieved.
5️⃣ Final Approval & Payment
When your portrait is complete, I will send you photos of the finished piece for your approval. Once you're happy, the remaining balance will be due before your portrait is carefully packaged and sent to you.
