This highly detailed art print of Barnstaple Train Station is obviously different to my other North Devon scenes prints but I thought that seeing as Barnstaple Train Station is the gateway for the many to this beautiful part of the country, it should be added to the collection.

The print features the fabulous Station Masters Cafe, a lovely place to stop and have a cuppa and a piece of cake after or before your journey, the platform and of course the train, which arrives into the station hourly.

The Station was first opened in 1854 and having once seen trains continue onwards to Bideford, Illfracombe and Lyndon and Lynmouth, now Barnstaple is the end of the line, which is a real shame. The old tracks to Bideford were replaced with a footpath, not the Tarka Trail, and when walking or cycling this path, you appreciate what a lovely train journey this once would have been between the twin towns.

For your information -

  • The frame shown is for illustrative purposes only.
  • All of my North Devon Scenes artwork are painted digitally by myself on my iPad in exactly the same way as I would paint or draw on a piece of paper. They are not photos and have not been photo enhanced on any way.
  • All prints are printed to order using Archival Matte Paper, which is acid free and has a heavy weight of 230gsm.
  • Please note - due to the fact that monitors often display colour, contrast and brightness differently, the print may appear slightly different to how it appears on your screen.
